REPORTWISE Recommendations
You probably did not miss SAP’s announcement last July moving the end of support date for SAP FC to 31/12/2030 (originally announced for 31/12/2027).
As a result, the SAP FC application will continue to be in operation for several years to come and may need to be updated.
The latest updates available are for the IPS and DS modules, which are frequently used in conjunction with SAP FC, some versions of which will no longer be supported from 31/12/2024.
Most SAP FC platforms use the SAP Information Platform System (IPS) authentication and security module, but IPS version 4.2 will no longer be supported as of 31/12/2024.
This important module is sometimes not well known by users, but it is nevertheless necessary to:
SAP has recommended updates to overcome the vulnerabilities identified in recent months.
REPORTWISE therefore strongly recommends that its customers update the SAP IPS 4.2 application to version 4.3 to benefit from these updates, and so that the publisher’s support remains operational until 31/12/2027.
It should be noted that updating SAP IPS to version 4.3 requires a minimum version of SAP FC (SP09 P11).
Similarly, the SAP DS (DataServices) job execution module in DS version 4.2 will no longer be supported from 31/12/2024.
This update applies to you when SAP Financial Information Management (FIM) is used to interface your SAP FC data with third-party systems.
REPORTWISE therefore strongly recommends that its customers update the SAP DS 4.2 application (if installed) to version 4.3 to benefit from these updates, and so that the publisher’s support remains operational until 31/12/2027.
The REPORTWISE team is available if you have any questions or need more details about any of these updates.
